Terms & Conditions

1. Stay at Hotel Tamizh Grand, Pondicherry

Standard Check-in Time: 02:00 PM.
Standard Check-out Time: 12:00 Noon.

2. Policy for Children & Charges

Children below 7 years can stay free of charge without an extra bed/mattress.
Children aged 11 years and above are charged Rs. 1000 + GST per night per child on bed & breakfast basis as well as for the meal plan chosen.

3. Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed.

4. Cancellation Policy

Payment made for any room/event booking is Non-Refundable.
NO SHOW – If a guest with a confirmed reservation fails to check-in, 100% of the room rate for each reserved night will be charged/forfeited.

5. Services Available at the Hotel

Non-Chargeable Services:

Use of Swimming Pool Swimming Pool timing: 7.00 am to 7.00 pm.
Entry to swimming pool is necessarily with swim wear / swim attire i.e. nylon / synthetic material costumes. Hotel Tamizh Grand reserves its right to refuse entry into the pool to any guest / customers not wearing swim wear.

Chargeable Services:

Laundry, Car Hire, Swimming Costume & T-shirts.

6. Rules of Admission at Hotel Tamizh Grand

The primary guest (Indian National) must be at least 18 years of age to be able to check into Hotel.

It is mandatory for guests (Indian Nationals) to present valid photo identification at the time of check-in.

According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person above the age of 18. The identification proofs accepted are Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, and Passport. Without Original copy of valid identity proof the guest will not be allowed to check-in.

Foreign Nationals must present their original Passport with a valid visa for entry into India.

Non-residents and visitors are NOT permitted to enter rooms  of their resident guests.

Rights of admission reserved at all times.

7. Security & Acceptability

Hotel Tamizh Grand reserves the right to exclude and / or reject any person from its premises without any liability whatsoever, if in the below mentioned conditions arise and prevail in the understanding and assessment of the hotel.

If a person / persons is are acting in an objectionable, unruly or inappropriate manner.

If a person’s / persons conduct is or is likely to affect the smooth running of the resort business, its security and / or reputation.

If a person / persons is / are alleged and / or proved to be in possession of contraband goods, prohibited arms & ammunition, illegal drugs, opioids and psychotropic substances for purpose of consumption, sale, storage, distribution, etc.

Safe keeping of all valuables including cash, credit cards, debit cards, jewellery, passport, mobile phones, laptops, etc is the responsibility of the guest occupying accommodation at Hotel Tamizh Grand and the management, its directors and employees shall not, in any way, be responsible for loss or theft of such valuables.

As per the notification dated 30th May 2008 issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, smoking in public places including hotels, resorts, restaurants, refreshments rooms, lobby, fitness center, swimming pool, banquet halls etc. is an offence and prohibited with effect from 2nd October 2008 by law.

Fireworks of any kind are NOT permitted inside the hotel or on the premises.

Resident guests shall be liable for any breakage and damage caused, except normal wear and tear, to the assets of Hotel Tamizh Grand. Resident guest shall keep the resort room in a good condition.

8. General Terms & Conditions

Room reservation is guaranteed only with advance payment via cash, credit/debit card, NEFT, RTGS, or UPI. Cheques are NOT accepted. 

Room Rates and all other rates for prevailing services at the Hotel are subject to change without prior notice / intimation.

GST and any other tax / fee / cess levied by government are subject to change without prior notice / intimation.

Professional filming or shooting at the Hotel & its premises using SLR, DSLR, ArriCam, ArriFlex, ArriAlexa, Red Epic, BM URSA, Panavision and videography can be conducted only with the prior permission of the Hotel and will attract a separate charge.

Hotel Tamizh Grand does not allow storage of guest baggage / luggage and goods of any kind, once guests / customers have checked out of his / her / their rooms.

9. Privacy Policy

We are committed to ensuring that the guest’s privacy is protected. Should we ask the visitor/guest to provide certain information by which they can be identified when using this website, and then the visitor/guest can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy strategy?
